Dorothy Sellars

Dorothy Ruth Holcombe Sellars, 95, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Wesley Court Assisted Living. Born November 24, 1918, in Union County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Humphrey Holcombe and Lula Bailey Holcombe, and widow of Oliver M. Sellars. Mrs. Sellars was a member of Carlisle Wesleyan Church, the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class, and BYF - Better Years Fellowship. She was a graduate of Fairforest High School and retired from Roses Department Store. Survivors include several cousins; and the "adopted" family of Steven and Carol Justice. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Louise Holcombe. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Carlisle Wesleyan Church, 3250 Old Furnace Rd., Chesnee, SC 29323. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Michael Stepp. Burial will be in Carlisle Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
