Dorothy Poole

Dorothy "Granny" Poole, 74, of Spartanburg, beloved widow of C. E. "Papa" Poole, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at home with family. Granny grew her wings and flew into her husbands waiting arms beside Jesus. With their love for each other they had never missed a Valentine's Day together for 56 years and weren't going to stop now. She was the daughter of the late Frank Weathers, Sr. and Eula Smith Weathers. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by children, Larry (Teri) Poole, Judy (Buddy) Tiller, and Ronnie Poole; grandchildren, Richie, David, Justin and Jerry Poole, and Kasey Palmer; 11 great-grandchildren; special great-grandchild reared in the home, Nate Poole; and special family friends, Tim Giles, Kevin Young, and Holly Poole. She was predeceased by her children, Richard and Wanda Joy Poole. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, the Rev. David Bosler officiating. The family will be at the home. May she breathe fresh air and rest in Papa's arms until the family is together again.
