Dorothy Louise Lambert, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born December 10, 1922, in Dundalk, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ruby E. and Walter S. Spears and widow of John Stuart Lambert. Dorothy lived most of her married life in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and moved to Spartanburg in 2001 after the death of her husband. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Spartanburg. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Lambert; sister-in-law, Emily Spears; nieces, Linda Famigletti (Art), Susan Spears, and Sheila Goldschnieder (Ed); nephews, Harry Spears (Liza), John Spears (Cheryl), and David Spears; and cousins, Betsy Vary (Andrew Mercogliano), Nancy Vary, and George Vary (Liz). In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Betty Grauling, Bill Spears, and Earl Spears. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Neal Y. Woods. Visitation will follow the service at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 626 Norwood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
