Dorothy Keith

Dorothy "Nana" Truesdale Keith, 87, of 81 Woodwind Drive, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 31, 1924 in Heath Springs, SC, she was the daughter of the late Roy Davis and Bertie Bowers Truesdale and wife of the late Clifford Nathaniel Keith. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, a former operator with Southern Bell, a member of First Baptist Church North Spartanburg, and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 9539. She was a loving and giving person who cared so deeply for others and was a great supporter of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include three daughters, Vicki D. Keith, Tanya K. Aldridge, and Cynthia K. Keith all of the home; three grandchildren, David K. Aldridge of Denver, CO, Tasha P. Forshee of Ft. Knox, KY. and Gregory S. Aldridge of Spartanburg; five great-grandchildren, Morgan, Bryson, and Karsyn Aldridge, as well as Madelyn and Reagan Forshee; and a brother, William "Bill" Truesdale of Inman. She also leaves behind her loving and constant companion, Toto. Cryptside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Michael S. Hamlet and the Rev Dr. Caroll Page. Visitation will follow the service at the cryptside. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
