Dorothy "Dottie" Wright Hoffmann, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Brookdale Skylyn-Spartanburg. Born September 6, 1929, in Nashville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Albert and Clyda Biggs Wright and widow of Richard Christian Hoffmann. Mrs. Hoffmann attended Belmont College and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church since 1971. She enjoyed traveling and was also a member of the See-Saw Square Dancing Club. Survivors include sons, Stephen W. Hoffmann (Sherry) and Bryan R. Hoffmann, all of Spartanburg, SC, and Bruce A. Hoffmann (Linda) of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer H. Tucker of Dayton, OH, Eric C. Hoffmann of Rome, GA, Kathryn J. Hoffmann of Banner Elk, NC, James C. Hoffmann and Nicholas S. Hoffmann, both of Hendersonville, NC; and great-grandson, Graham Robert Tucker. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Scott C. Hoffmann. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 3, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Bill Thompson. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family is at the home of Steve and Sherry Hoffmann.
