Dorothy Frey

Dorothy "Dot" Fain Frey, 88, of Fairforest, SC, died Sunday, August 6, 2017, at her home. Born July 1, 1929, in Fairforest, SC, she was the daughter of the late Kenny Eckles and Ruby Cheek Fain and wife of the late Jacob Reinard Frey IV. Mrs. Frey was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where she served on the communion committee, meal ministry and was a member of the Woman's Club. She loved to read and quilt. Survivors include her children, David R. Frey (Nancy) of Chapin, SC, Thomas L. Frey (Pam) of Greenville, SC, Karen F. Reece (Waymon) and Kenny C. Frey (Lori) all of Fairforest, SC; 10 grandchildren, Julie Urso, Kristy Nimon, Laura Smith, Andrea Godby, Jamie Greufe, Christina McFall, Sarah Hamilton, Michael Frey, Adam Reece and Ellie Frey; 18 great-grandchildren and sister, Janette Caldwell of Woodruff, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Kenny Eckels Fain Jr. Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 PM Friday, August 11, 2017, at Fairforest Baptist Church, 115 Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29301, with services following at 2:00 PM at the church.
