Dorothy Fowler

Dorothy Gilliam Fowler, 85, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Brookview Health Care Center, Gaffney, SC. Born April 11, 1929, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Nelia Viola Clark Gilliam, and widow of Dexter Converse Fowler, Jr. She was a member of Church of God Prophecy. Surviving are her children, Charles E. Fowler (Karen) and Felecia Fowler Powell, all of Spartanburg; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Lyda and Lottie Thrift, both of Spartanburg; and brother, Troy Gilliam, also of Spartanburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Patrick Powell.
