Dorothy Bright

Dorothy "Dot" Ann Wofford Bright, 84, of Gaffney, SC and formerly of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 7, 1934, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Gus Wofford and Mattie Lee Pruitt Wofford and widow of Horace Thomas Bright. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughter, Lori Ann Bright Pearson of Gaffney, SC; grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Pearson of New Orleans, LA and Victoria Ann Pearson of Charleston, SC; sister, Sue W. Lowe of Spartanburg, SC; and brother, Olin Douglas Wofford of Flat Rock, NC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph Wofford, Leroy Wofford, and Ray Benjamin Wofford. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with funeral services following at 3:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Bob McFalls. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
