Dorothy Breitenbach

Dorothy "Dot" Victoria Hyder Breitenbach, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 19, 1935 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Lee and Kate Adabelle Webb Hyder. She was a member of Glendale Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, David Louis Breitenbach; sons, Johnny Breitenbach (Robin) of Spartanburg, SC and Gary Breitenbach (Amy) of Pacolet, SC; daughter-in-law, Kim Breitenbach of Cowpens, SC; brother, Larry Hyder; sisters, Gladys Jett, Eulalia Seay, Jane Riley and Mildred Sams; 8 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Daniel "Danny" Breitenbach and brother, Merrell Hyder. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2020 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Charles Sams and The Rev. Daniel Blackwell. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. The families will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Jerusalem, 2432 Jerusalem Road, Pacolet, SC 29372.
