Dorothy Blanton

Dorothy Irene Allison Blanton, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, September 26, 2016, at RoseCrest HealthCare Center. Born February 17, 1932, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Dolph and Beatrice Sizemore Allison and widow of Billie Langdon Blanton. She retired from Draper Corporation. Surviving are her children, Debora Cantrell (Brett) of Jacksonville, FL and David Blanton (Kim) of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Hope Cantrell Mowery, Laura Cantrell Langford, Brad Cantrell, Haley Blanton, and Taylor Blanton; four great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Sue Blanton Lampley of Reading, PA. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Tommy Sparks. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
