Dorothy Billings

Dorothy Pack Billings, 95, of Inman, SC and formerly of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at RoseCrest Community Healthcare. Born June 1, 1921, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Peter Chesterfield Pack and Louetta Easterly Pack and widow of Oren Odom Billings. An exemplary mother and wonderful homemaker, Mrs. Billings was retired from Beaumont Mill. She was a lifelong member of Beaumont United Methodist Church, the Blackwell Sunday School Class, and also sang alto in the church choir. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Brittana Billings of the home; sister, Martha Joyce Pack Gilbert of Spartanburg, SC; and brother, George Franklin Pack of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Chester Francis Pack, Ruth Pack Edwards, Virginia Pack Ross, Faye Pack Clinton, Margaret Pack Beck, Betty Pack Espisito, Jean Pack Davis, and Bobby Joel Pack. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Darrell McNeill. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
