Doris Tipton

Doris Bolt Tipton, 92, of Boiling Springs, SC died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Magnolia Manor. Born March 5, 1924 in Rossville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Anna Stancil Bolt. She was the widow of James F. Tipton. Doris was a seamstress with Butte Knit for 23 years. She was a member of Church of Christ Boiling Springs. She loved her family. Survivors include a daughter, Carole Bryant of Boiling Springs, SC; son, Wayne Tipton (Lori) of Valdese, NC; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Brian Tipton. Visitation will be 10:00 - 10:45 AM Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Church of Christ Boiling Springs, 870 Double Bridge Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM at Church of Christ Boiling Springs, conducted by the Rev. Michael Grooms. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of Christ Boiling Springs, 870 Double Bridge Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Carole Bryant.
