Doris Thompson

Doris Evelyn Keefe Thompson, 80, of 122 Unity Road, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her home. Born March 10, 1930 in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Curtis and Leona Dorothy Evans Keefe and the wife of the late Elick Howard Thompson. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and the Bertie Anthony Sunday School Class. Survivors include four daughters, Gail Stubblefield and husband Mike, Beth Phillips and husband David, and Rebecca Faux and husband Mike, all of Spartanburg, and Sharyl Roach and husband Tony of Gadsden, AL; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Church, conducted by the Rev. Keith Davis and the Rev. Michael Stubblefield. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
