Doris Sherrill

Doris Long Sherrill, 69, of 102 Highland Drive, Duncan, SC died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at her home. Born September 9, 1940 in Bladen County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ira Pope and Ethel Cagle Long and wife of the late Alfred L. Sherrill, Sr. She was a member of Fairforest Church of God. Survivors include seven children, Deborah Sherrill Weathers and husband Allan of Startex, Suzanne Sherrill of Duncan, Alfred Landon Sherrill, Jr. and wife Brenda of Moncks Corner, Crystal Sherrill Rose and husband Elmer of Spartanburg, Tyler Dane Sherrill, Joshua Landon Sherrill, and Erin Michelle Hernandez and husband Alberto of Duncan; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Melba Hughes of Fayetteville, NC and Mary Webb of Dallas, NC. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Fairforest Church of God, conducted by the Rev. John H. Petty III. Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Doris Sherrill Memorial Fund, P.O. Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The family is at the home.
