Doris Cantrell Rogers, 86, of Spartanburg, died Monday, December 5, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 5, 1925, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Harold "Beau" and Lois Morrison Cantrell, and wife of the late Fred Edmund Rogers. Mrs. Rogers was a charter member of Bethany Baptist Church, a 1943 graduate of Spartanburg High School, and retired from SC National Bank. Survivors include her son, Mike Rogers and wife Crissy of Chesnee; daughter, Bootsie Clayton and husband Sonny of Green Creek Community; grandchildren, Clay Clayton and wife Kimberly, Libby Carson and husband Kelly, and Derek Rogers; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jimmy Cantrell and wife Joan of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Harold Cantrell, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Glenn Rusher. Visitation will follow the service at Greenlawn Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
