Doris Pruitt

Doris Annette Ivie Pruitt, 75, died Friday, January 7, 2011, at Inman Health Care. Born January 16, 1935, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Maggie L. Driggers Ivie, and the widow of Carl Pruitt, Jr. She was retired from Springs Industries and a member of Gateway Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Byron C. Pruitt of Gastonia, NC and Kenneth Pruitt and wife Melanie of Campobello, SC; and two grandchildren, Harrison and Jennings Pruitt. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Gateway Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church, conducted by the Rev. Ray K. Stuart. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
