Doris Pratt

Doris Garrison Pratt, 86, of Spartanburg, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at her home. Born February 8, 1926, in Denver, SC, she was the daughter of the late Fred B. and Ruth J. Garrison. She was the wife (for 62 years) and widow (for 24 days) of the late Marion G. Pratt. In addition, she was predeceased by her sister, Patricia "Pat" Garrison Montgomery; and her brother, Fred B. Garrison, Jr. At different times in her life, she had been a school teacher, a full-time homemaker, and then a substitute school teacher. She was a member of the Spartanburg Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and very active in many aspects of the church. She is survived by several loving family members. Doris and her family want to especially thank her very loving and caring hospice aides, nurses, social worker, and chaplain. A private graveside service was held. We love you Moma (Ahma) and Daddy (Poppa) and we know that the two of you are enjoying being together again. Both of you can now rest in peace.
