Doris Traynham Pike

Doris Traynham Pike, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Saturday, August 26, 2023. She was born on June 3, 1934, in Fairforest, South Carolina. Doris lived a quiet lifestyle surrounded by the peacefulness of the outdoors, with unwavering love and devotion to her family.

After graduating from Fairforest High School with honors, she embarked a career as a secretary for Cudd and Corn Insurance for many years. After raising her family, she began her career as a sales representative in the food industry where she earned the respect of the professionals in her field.

Doris will be missed by her loved ones. She is survived by her children Karen Hollifield (Ken) of Spartanburg, Linda Terrana (Philip) of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark, Pike (Cynthia), Inman, and David Pike (Josie) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was a cherished grandmother to Michael, David, and Stephen Hollifield.  Kelly Martin, Brendan, and Ryan Terrana, Kris Atkins, and Kaitlyn Pike. Additionally, Doris leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Lucy, Jack, Connor, Ayden, and Riley Grace. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years, Joseph H, Pike, of Inman, South Carolina, a grandson, Justin Terrana, and her brother, Charles Traynham. 

A Visitation service will be held on August 29th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel located at 2075 E Main St in Spartanburg. The Graveside Service will be held on August 30th at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

Doris Traynham Pike will be remembered for her strength, courage and her unconditional love for her family, and the joy she brought into their lives. Her legacy as a dedicated mother and grandmother will continue to live on through the memories shared by those who knew and loved her.
