Doris Martin

Doris Roberts Taylor Martin, 77, of 811 Amarillo Drive, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at her home. Born March 8, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Quentin K. Roberts and Janie Kellett Roberts McIntyre. She was first married to the late Mason Edward Taylor, Sr. for 38 years and then to the late Joseph D. Martin, Sr. She was retired from Prym Dritz and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Survivors include three daughters, Kathy T. Martin and husband Rocky of Roebuck, Linda T. Dunlap and Susan M. Taylor, both of Spartanburg; a son, Mason Edward Taylor of Atlanta and New York; three step-sons, Joe Martin, Jr. and wife Barbara of Chester, Bill Martin and wife Claudia of Duncan, and Robert Martin and wife Kathryn of Forest City, NC; grandchildren, Kristi Hoff and husband Kris, Brandon Martin, Dustin and Dylan Dunlap, and Ali and Jet Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Katie and Kyndall Hoff; and several step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, John Edward Roberts. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Glenn Rusher and Chaplain Reed Bowyer.
