Doris Everhart

September 23, 1932 — April 26, 2013

Doris Bryant Everhart, 80, of 5025 Willow Drive, Boiling Springs, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at her home. Born September 23, 1932, in Johnson City, TN, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lee and Ruby Fox Bryant and widow of Tony Wilmer Everhart. She worked in the weave shop at Beaumont Mill for 40 years, then at Michelin Tire, and later at Crown Oil Co. She was a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Everhart loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson. She never met a stranger, served her Lord faithfully, and was a super cook who was devoted to all church functions. Survivors include sons, Ricky W. Everhart (Mary) of Lake Blalock and Timothy B. Everhart (Carol Yount) of the home; daughter, Ruby Roxanne Hawkins (Michael) of Reidville; daughter-in-law, Jean Everhart of Spartanburg; sisters, Betty Thurston of Gastonia, NC, Margaret Helton of Stanley, NC, Frances Helton of Lowell, NC, and Helene Burnham of Dallas, NC; brothers, Lewis Coleman Bryant of Lake Gaston, NC, and Charles Lee Bryant, Jr. of Hamlet, NC; seven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by a son, Tony Everhart, Jr. Visitation will be 1:45-2:45 PM Monday, April 29, 2013, in the sanctuary of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Tim Hackett. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary Escort will be "The Shop" Motorcycle Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 2058 Chesnee Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
