Doris Epley

Doris Jean Epley, 75, of Spartanburg, died Friday, June 17, 2011, at Magnolia Place-Spartanburg. Born April 22, 1936, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert J. and Lillie Mae Arnold Cook, and wife of the late Eugene Robert Epley, Sr. Mrs. Epley was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include son, Eugene "Gene" R. Epley, Jr. and his wife Leslie of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Kaci Epley; a grandson, Corey Epley and his fiancée Lauren Davis; great-grandchildren, Arielle Epley and Madison Epley; and a sister, Brenda Bullman of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Brandy Epley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 104 Garner Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
