Doris Marie Arms Bullington, 82, of 321 Willis Road, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 14, 1927 in Greenville County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Claude Watson and Lina Cooper Arms. She was married 64 years to the late Charles Harrison Bullington. She was a charter member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, she is survived by two sons, Michael Watson Bullington and his wife Carole H. of Columbia, and David Charles Bullington and his wife Vickie of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Eric Bullington and his wife Kirstin, and Lisa Bullington, all of Columbia, Charlie Bullington and his wife Wendy of Hanahan, and Meredith Bullington and her fianc Matthew Fisher of Spartanburg; great-grandchildren, Rowan Mae Bullington of Columbia, Elias Charles and Lucas David Bullington of Hanahan, and an expected great-grandson, Darwin Michael Bullington; a sister, Thelma Hottell and her husband Rev. David Hottell of Stafford, VA; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Bullington of Spartanburg, and Anne Carlisle of Lyman; an aunt, Loree Caston of Wellford; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010, at Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. D. J. Horton, the Rev. Kevin Harrison and the Rev. David Hottell. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ray Caruso, Bob Jolley, Bobby Wilder, Wade Loudermilk, David Hottell, Jr., and Marc Zachary. Honorary Escort will be members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church, The Time Is Now? Building Fund, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369. The family is at the home. Deepest gratitude is extended by the family to all the wonderful caregivers for Mrs. Bullington during the last several years.
