Doris Barnett

Doris Elizabeth Smith Barnett, 78, of Spartanburg, SC died Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her home. Born October 7, 1942 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus P. and Grace Kimbrell Smith. Doris was retired from Spartanburg Methodist College and she was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harry G. Barnett; son, Tony Barnett (Jennifer) of Boiling Springs, SC; daughters, Tami Shepherd (Larry) of Spartanburg, SC, and Tina Craig (Bill) of Pauline, SC; grandchildren, Rebekah Barnett, Gracie Barnett, Alex Barnett, Chase Watson and Pierce Watson. She was predeceased by sisters, Jane Holcombe and Lelia Emory. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Abner Creek Baptist Church, 2461 Abner Creek Road, Greer, SC 29651, with funeral services following at 11:30 AM in the sanctuary, conducted by The Rev. Richard Clark and The Rev. Robert Emory. Burial will follow in Abner Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
