Donnie Gray Proctor, 73, of 31 Sweetbriar Lane, died Monday, November 30, 2009, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born April 26, 1936, in Wilson, NC, he was the son of Virginia Owens Proctor of Wilson, NC, and the late Joshua Hicks Proctor. He was the parts and service director for Vic Bailey Ford and co-owner of Prostitch Upholstery. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife of 44 years, Ann King Proctor; a daughter, Tammy Autry and her husband Ronnie of Surfside Beach; a son, Scott Proctor and his wife Michele of Spartanburg; four grandsons, Austin Autry, Chase Autry, Grayson Proctor, and Joel Stewart; two granddaughters, Ally Stewart and Jordan Stewart; two sisters, Brenda Davis of Wilson, NC, and Jennie Closson of Raleigh, NC; three brothers, Mark Proctor, Ricky Proctor, and Travis Proctor, all of Wilson, NC; and his constant companion, "Pebbles". Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. D. J. Horton and Rev. Larry Buchanan. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home.
