Donnie Carlton Covan

Donnie Carlton Covan, 81, of Pauline, SC, passed away on Sunday morning, November 3, 2024, at the Ellen Sagar Nursing Center in Union, SC. Donnie was born on March 4, 1943, in Spartanburg, SC, a son of the late Carlton and Ollie Belle Dorman Covan. 

Donnie was a member of West Springs Baptist Church and was a longtime truck driver. Along with spending time with his family, Donnie loved hunting, fishing, and watching every NASCAR race he could find! 

Donnie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Dornberg Covan; his children, Michael Wayne Covan and Anthony Ray Covan (Monica) of Spartanburg, Neecie Smith (Todd) of Pauline, and Donnie Carlton Covan, Jr., (Loren) of Reidville, SC; his 8 grandchildren; his 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vivian Moon of Gray Court, SC. Donnie was predeceased by his brothers, Darrell and Baron Covan. 

A service to remember and honor Donnie’s life will be planned at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
