Donna West

Donna Lee West, 79, of Inman, SC, died Monday, July 6, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 25, 1935, in Pauline, SC, she was the daughter of the late Virgil D. and Corinne Brown West. Donna graduated from Pauline High School, Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing, and North Carolina Baptist School of Nurse Anesthesia, where she was clinical instructor for several years. She retired as a CRNA from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Donna was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Miss West, the youngest of 10 children, was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Madeline Lambright, Louise Cubitt Hodge, Doris West, Birdie McCullough, Marvin West, Virgil West, Jr., Mack West, Margaret Treadway, and June Lancaster Cline. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends. The family would like to thank the healthcare professionals at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for the compassionate care given to Donna during the past few weeks. Visitation will be 5:00-6:30 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 PM Thursday, July 9, 2015, in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 3119 Hwy 56, Pauline, SC 29374, by the Rev. Dr. Bob E. Pettit.
