Donna Gay Gray

Donna Gay Gray, 84 passed away on Tuesday, August 06, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on August 07,1939 to the late Thomas & Edna Rhinehart.

Donna was a woman known for her deep love for family, her humble spirit, and her fondness for the comforts of home. She found joy in the simple moments and touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her proudest accomplishment was raising her children and her marriage to her late husband, Robert E. Gray. Donna was also a long-term member of Ben Avon Baptist Church, where she worshiped there for over 60 years. 

 Donna is survived by her daughters; Kim Fleming (Mark) and Lisa Stephens (Reno), Grandchildren; Christopher Martin (Candi), Andrew Martin (Lindsey), Kasey Fleming (Brianna), Ryan Mahaffey; Great-Grandchildren; Aubree Jane Martin, Cameron Martin, Kolton Fleming, Kenji Fleming, and Maverick Martin; Nieces; Gina Guilliams, and Rhonda Miller, Special friends; Jane Wilson and Carolyn Metcalf and her beloved dog, Zoe, was a constant companion and source of comfort through the years. Donna was predeceased by her loving husband; Robert E. Gray; her father; Thomas Rhinehart; mother Edna Murray-Rhinehart, a son; Eric Fleming; grandson; Kellen Fleming; great granddaughter; Korra Fleming and a sister; Connie Gail Miller.

A graveside service to honor and remember Donna will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road Spartanburg, SC 29307. 

Memorials may be made in her honor to Ben Avon Baptist Church, 2437 Wallace Ave, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
