Donald Waddell

Donald Lee Waddell, 80, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday, September 24, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born May 4, 1938, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Arthur and Frances Waddell. A U. S. Army Reserves veteran and Class of 1960 Wofford College graduate, Mr. Waddell enjoyed NASCAR and fishing. He was a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg and retired from Wells Fargo and the SC Department of Social Services. Survivors include a nephew, David L. Vaughan (Donna) of Inman, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert Waddell. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 29, 2018, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Andy Case. Visitation will be at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304; or the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
