Donald Stepp

Donald Howard Stepp, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 13, 1934, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late A. G. and Margaret Hayes Stepp. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Stepp was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and Robinson's Business College. He was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church, loved the game of golf, and was inducted into the SC Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. Surviving are his wife, Edith Roddy Stepp; son, Michael Stepp of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Michael Putnam, Jennifer Chapman, Shane Stepp, Jessica Stepp, Matthew Stepp, Chris Stepp, and Josh Stepp; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 11:00-12:15 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Steve McClain, the Rev. John Cox, and the Rev. Rupert Guest. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Beaumont Baptist Church, 945 Beaumont Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
