Donald Dyer

Donald Robert Dyer, 79, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Bon Secours St. Francis Health System in Greenville, SC. Born June 7, 1933, in Enoree, SC, he was the son of the late Frank Esley and Carrie Beryl Westmoreland Dyer. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Dyer was a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church and employed with Spartan Grain for 27 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Yelton Dyer; daughter, Melanie McGehee (Andy) of West Columbia, SC; grandson, Ian McGehee of West Columbia, SC; sisters, Edyth Richards of Greenville, SC, and Betty Garrett of Danville, VA; and a brother, Royce Dyer of Farmerville, LA. He was predeceased by a sister, Geneva Watson; and brothers, Eugene Dyer, Elmer Dyer, Esley Dyer, Edward Dyer, and Frank Dyer. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2013, at Cudd Memorial Baptist Church, by the Rev. Danny Garrett and the Rev. Ronnie Norris.
