Donald Lee Bogan, Sr., 77, of Cowpens, SC, died Thursday, February 9, 2017, at his home. Born March 12, 1939, in Cowpens, he was the son of the late Talmadge Lee Bogan Parks. A U. S. Navy veteran, Mr. Bogan was a member of Central Baptist Church-Cowpens and owner of Bogan's Auto Parts. He was a coin and cowboy memorabilia collector and enjoyed dirt track racing. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Cooksey Bogan; sons, Donald L. Bogan, Jr., Randall T. Bogan, and Richard Dupre Bogan, all of Cowpens, SC; three grandsons; four granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Sherrell Dean Parker of Cowpens, SC; and brothers, Paul M. Parks of Cowpens, SC, John Earle Parks of Spartanburg, SC, Stevie Parks of Rock Hill, SC, and Larry Parks of Cowpens, SC. In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by a son, Michael Ray Bogan; brother, Reggie Bogan; and sister, Mickie Bogan. Visitation will be 12:00-1:45 PM Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jason Metcalf and the Rev. Allen Dean Blanton. Burial, with military rites, will be in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330.
