Donald Blackwell

Donald Glenn "Donnie" Blackwell, 53, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 12, 1959, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of Irene Foster Blackwell of Boiling Springs, SC, and the late Ray Blackwell. Donnie was retired from Pike Electric. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Teresa Koon Blackwell; children, Patrick Blackwell (Angela) of Boiling Springs, SC, Anna Blackwell and Donnie Ray Bridges, of the home; grandchildren, Trevor Bridges, Gracie Bridges, and McKenzie Bridges; twin brother, Ronnie Lynn Blackwell (Lisa) of Boiling Springs, SC, and brother, Walter "Peanut" Blackwell of Lyman, SC. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Chuck Thornton. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
