Donald Blackwelder

Donald "Donnie" Gerald Blackwelder, 74, of Spartanburg, SC died June 10, 2017. Born October 23, 1942 in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Charles William and Mattie Mae Melton Blackwelder. Donnie was a supervisor with Mayfair Mills. He was a charter member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Annie Carolyn Scruggs Blackwelder; daughter, Donna McNamara (Sean) of Spartanburg; grandsons, Sean McNamara, Jr., Brandon McNamara, Andrew McNamara; granddaughters, Megan McNamara, Carolina Marshall (Dylan); all of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Charles Blackwelder of Greenville, and Joe Blackwelder of Spartanburg. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Johnson. Visitation will be 1:00 - 1:45 PM Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Chuck Thornton. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
