Donald Bailey

Donald Hope Bailey, 70, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 21, 1941, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Fred Hope and Lillie Mae Sweat Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a member of Cannon's Camp Ground United Methodist Church. He retired from UPS after 31 years of service, was a lifetime member of Converse-Cowpens Lodge #210, and Teamsters Local 28. Survivors include his beloved wife, Anne Grant Bailey; daughter, Glenda Deaton and son-in-law Earl Deaton; brother, Kenneth Bailey; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Eugene Bailey. Visitation will be 11:00 AM -12:15 PM Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Doug Gilliland and the Rev. David Ervin. Burial, with Masonic rites, will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Buddy Linder, Matthew Linder, Michael Linder, John Linder, Terry Arthur, and Ronnie Griffin.
