Donald Aiken

Donald Edward Aiken, 80, of Pauline, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at his home. Born May 13, 1931 in Pauline, he was the son of the late Thomas Henry and Pearl Vise Aiken. He had an Associate's Degree from business college. Donald was a Mason, a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church, and a retired bookkeeper. Mr. Aiken is survived by his loving sister, Virginia A. Bruce and husband Herbert of Roebuck; nieces and nephews who loved him very much, Janice Schilling and husband Eric of Wilmington, DE, Ken Bruce and wife Mindy of Roebuck, Phyllis Ramsey and husband Tim of Charlotte, and Dave Bruce and wife Jennifer of Boiling Springs; and great-nieces and nephews, Aaron and Seth Schilling, Chandler and Brandon Bruce, Parker and Madison Ramsey, and Connor and Colten Bruce. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Monday, May 14, 2012 at Friendship Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM by the Rev. Brian Harris. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 830 Friendship Road, Pauline, SC 29374.
