Don L. Freeman, 58, of Pauline, died Thursday, October 6, 2011, at his home. Born September 14, 1953, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late John Grady and Lila Mae Petty Freeman. Don was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was the owner and president of Interstate Mechanical and Millwright, Inc. of Spartanburg, a member of Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church of Roebuck, a member of Pine Valley Hunt Club, and an avid hunter. Don was a graduate of Dorman High School, Spartanburg Methodist College, and Wofford College. Survivors include his loving wife, Teresa Pickel Freeman; sons, Jason L. Freeman and wife Wendy, and William P. Freeman and wife Stephanie, all of Pauline; twin brother, John A. Freeman and wife Kay of Spartanburg; sister, Elizabeth Weeks and husband Anthony of Boiling Springs; five grandchildren, Lath, Seth, and Blyth Freeman, and Savannah and Parker Freeman, all of Pauline; a special aunt, Lucille Easler of Spartanburg; and great-nephew, Brandon Michales of Pauline. Visitation will be 1:30-3:45 PM Monday, October 10, 2011, in Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM, in the sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Richard Thomas and Pastor Mark Kozak. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 1399 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck, SC 29376.
