Don Crosby

William Donald Crosby, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, October 20, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born March 30, 1935, in Chester, SC, he was the son of the late William Douglas and Thelma Lucille Harvey Crosby. A U. S. Army Reserves veteran, Mr. Crosby was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. He retired from Kanawha Insurance Company and was also a member of Masonic Lodge #422 Delmar. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Katherine Hinson Crosby; daughter, Lisa Crosby (Ray Spires) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson (Laura) of Pauline, SC and Meghan Ezell (Jake) of Chesnee, SC; brother, Roger Crosby (Mildred) of Chester, SC; sister, Joyce Knight of Monroe, NC; and son-in-law, Wayne Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Donna Crosby Johnson and son, Mark Crosby. Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 PM Monday, October 23, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Heidi Campbell-Robinson and the Rev. Scott Corbin.
