Dolores Sadler Bracey, 89, of Moore, SC, a former resident of Jacksonville, FL, died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 3, 1920, in Cookeville, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Jefferson and Buna Jacques Sadler and the wife of the late Clarence Harrison Bracey. She was a longtime volunteer at Mary Black Memorial Hospital, a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving with the WAVES during World War II, and of the Methodist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Marsha Bracey Alexander and her husband Lon of Moore; three sons, Paul Harrison Bracey and his wife Rhonda of Fort Worth, TX, David Vernon Bracey and his wife Tamia of Carrolton, GA, and Mark Thomas Bracey and his wife Mary of Moore; twelve grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Wesley, Misty, Erin, Harrison, Brian, Christopher, Shannon Megan, Matthew, and Samantha; five great-grandchildren, Caroline, Jay, Hayden, Landon, and Jordan; and a sister, Pearl Prueitt and her husband Alvin of York, PA. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Meg Barnhouse.
