Dewitt Ezell

Dewitt T. Ezell, 92, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, November 11, 2010, at his home. Born July 3, 1918 in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late James Winston and Dora Smith Ezell. He retired in 1983 from Flav-O-Rich Dairy after 36 years of service, and after retirement, he worked 18 years for several local grocery stores. He was a member of United Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Jolley Ezell; two sons, Roger L. Ezell and wife Cheryl P. of Marshall, NC and Donald F. Ezell and wife Mona H. of Spartanburg; a sister, Eleanor Shields, of Chesnee; a brother, Hydrick Ezell, of Chesnee; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Robert Emory.
