Dewey Hanna, Jr.

Dewey Lee Hanna Jr., 80, of Roebuck, SC, died Friday, December 21, 2012, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born February 8, 1932, he was the husband of the late Nell Stone Hanna and son of the late Dewey Lee Hanna Sr. and Ruby Trail Hanna. A U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Hanna was the owner of D. L. Hanna's Convenience Store and a member of El Bethel United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #357, a Shriner, and past commander of the VFW. Survivors include his daughters, Carole Gene Deal (Jimmy) of Campobello, SC, and Tracy Hanna Smith (Mark) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Hanna Smith Funderburk of Greenville, SC, Paul Baylor Deal of Brooklyn, NY, Jonathan Lee Deal of Campobello, SC, and Ethan Jacob Smith of Spartanburg, SC. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Ann Hanna. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, December 24, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Jack A. Caldwell. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at their respective homes.
