Derek Rogers

Derek Michael Rogers, of Chesnee, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the age of 27. Born May 23, 1986, in Hickory, NC, he was the beloved son of Mike and Crissy Rogers of Chesnee. Derek was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School Class of 2004 and USC Upstate Class of 2009 with a BS Degree in Business. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and employed with Boots' & Sonny's Drive-In. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Shirley Quinn of Wellford, SC; uncle and aunt, Tom and Beverly Quinn of Rutherfordton, NC; aunt and uncle, Bootsie and Sonny Clayton of Columbus, NC; cousins, Aprel and Todd Ellison of Chapin, SC, Libby and Kelly Carson of Campobello, SC, and Clay and Kimberly Clayton of Columbus, NC. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, John Quinn, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Edmund and Doris Rogers; and cousin, John Thomas Quinn III. Visitation will be 1:00-3:00 PM Friday, May 16, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 PM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Rusher and Mr. Clay Clayton.
