Denise Kussmaul

Denise Damiano Kussmaul, 69, formerly of Newark, NJ, died Saturday, October 29, 2022 at her home. Born January 29, 1953 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Jeanette Policastro Damiano and the wife of the late Ralph Henry Kussmaul.

Denise was a retired office manager from Naples Auto in Albany, NY after many years of service. She wasn’t a good cook, but the best cook and baker. A woman of deep faith, she was always devoted to her family, pets and friends.

An old school “Italian” she would always speak her mind and was always right!

Survivors include her sons, Kevin Kussmaul (Michele) of Raritan, NJ and Scott Kussmaul of Roselle Park, NJ; her daughter, Michelle David of Kenilworth, NJ; seven grandchildren; her beloved canine companions, Angel and Coco; and her African grey parrot, Chico.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Memorial service will be held at a later date at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 143 Madison Street, Newark, NJ 07105. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ 07031.
