Delaine Rush

Delaine Willis "Lainey" Rush, 49, of 891 Beverly Drive, died Saturday, December 4, 2010 after a long battle with cancer, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home surrounded by her family and friends. Born June 3, 1961 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of Joe Earl and Sarah Davis Willis. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, a long time employee of First Citizens Bank and Trust Company, and a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, David Edwin Rush; a son, Michael David Rush and his wife Ashley Hollifield Rush of Chesnee; and a brother, Joey Earl Willis of North Augusta, SC. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Jesse Ray and Lillie Mae Willis and maternal grandparents, Warren W. and Cleo Comer Davis. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, December 6, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Danny Garrett. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Food Pantry of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church, 1301 Boiling Springs Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
