Debra Jean Maury Kaleores, 69, of Spartanburg, fell asleep in the Lord on September 2, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Sotirios Peter Kaleores for 38 years.  

She was born on October 10, 1954, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late Victor and Angeline Habas Maury. She graduated from Miami University in Ohio and worked ten years as a Customer Support representative for Hoke, Inc. (Circor) in Spartanburg before retiring. Prior to that she worked in various capacities as a temp for numerous companies in Columbia, Charlotte and Spartanburg. 

Debra was an avid shopper who also loved to travel, hike and vacation in the mountains, and taking the best care of her beloved cats, Pepper and Winston. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Susie (Skip) Fristoe of Charleston, SC; brother, V. J. (Betsy) Maury of Lakeville, CT. and two nephews. Also, uncles, aunts and cousins all residing in Wisconsin. 

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff and nurses at White Oak Manor and Agape Care Hospice for their dedicated care of Debra during the last few months of her life. 

Visitation will be on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with a Trisagion Prayer service at 7:00 pm at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 1107, Spartanburg, SC 29304 or to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
