Dean Oakley

Dean Elise Muller Oakley, 71, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, June 26, 2017, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital-Spartanburg. Born May 2, 1947, in Hoboken, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Steven Muller and Dorothy Dean Stevens Muller. Mrs. Oakley was passionate about books and served as a volunteer with Friends of the Library. She was also a member of Ben Avon United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Wayne Oakley; children, David Oakley and wife Jessica of Murray, UT, Timothy Oakley and wife Alexis of Easton, PA, Cristin Bowler of Macungie, PA, and Buffy Smith of Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Thomas C. Muller and wife Marygene of Flanders, NJ. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Steven Muller, Bobby Muller, and Wayne Muller. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Jones Brewer.
