Dean Jones

Dean Larkin Jones, 80, of Pacolet, SC, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at his home. Born February 1, 1935, in Pacolet Mills, SC, he was the son of the late Hugh and Ollie Manis Jones. Mr. Jones attended Pacolet High School and was the retired owner of Spartanburg Tile Company. He was a member of Tate Memorial Baptist Church. He loved to garden, cut grass and tend to his cows. Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Shirley West Jones; children, Debbie J. Harrold (Willie), Cindy J. Crossley (Bobby), and Ricky Dean Jones (Teresa) all of Pacolet, SC; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and sisters, Doris J. Hogan, Annette J. Thompson and Sylvia J. Motts all of Pacolet, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six sisters. Visitation will be Noon to 1:45 PM on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Elliott Hamrick and the Rev. Dylan Styles. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
