David Walker

David Deering Walker, 74, of Lyman, SC, died Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born October 29, 1938, in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late Eugene Ralph and Ethel Mae Grumble Walker. A veteran of the U. S. Navy, Mr. Walker retired from Greenville County as a telecommunication coordinator, was a graduate of Limestone College, and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his beloved wife, Beverly Elaine Doyle Walker; children, Wendy Owens of Wellford, SC, Debbie Walker of Lyman, SC, and David Walker of Roebuck, SC; four grandchildren; sisters, Freida Martin of Cowpens, SC, and Gwen Osteen of Hendersonville, NC; and his faithful canine companion, Casper Walker. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. The family is at the home.
