David Brandon “Biggie” Thompson, 43, of Moore passed away November 15, 2022. He was born October 5, 1979, to Lynne Blackwell Barker and the late Lowell Frank Thompson, and was raised by his mother, Lynne, and father, the late Robert “Bob” Barker.
A member of Stone Station Baptist Church, Brandon had a huge heart. He was like a big teddy bear and would give the best hugs to anyone who wanted one. Brandon was a big brother to everyone, protecting them and offering the best advice. He was also a huge jokester, always trying to make people laugh and doing impersonations.
Survivors include his mother, Lynne Barker of Moore; sister, Amy McFarland (Brian) of Moore; brothers, Chris “Truk” Thompson (Christie) of Gaffney, David Anthony Thompson (Kiley) of Gray Court, and Frankie Thompson, Jr. (Michelle) of Conway; nieces, Mya McFarland and Hailey Thompson; nephews, Austin Duff and Kris Clary; best friend, Ricky Savage; and Skylar Savage, who was like a daughter to him. He was predeceased by his wife, Rachel Skinner Thompson, and father, Robert “Bob” Barker.
Viewing will be 3:00 - 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2022 and 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. Visitation will follow from 1:00 - 2:30 PM at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jackie Bridwell.
