David Rothrock

David Benton Rothrock, 83, of 2901 Whitestone Glendale Road, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born July 20, 1927, in Newberry, SC, he was a son of the late William Thomas and Pauline George Rothrock. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, a farmer, and owner of Rothrock's Garage for 50 years. He attended Pacolet Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Reba Deaton Rothrock; two sons, David Larry Rothrock (Joyce) and Paul Marvin Rothrock (Tammy), all of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Heather Rothrock of Spartanburg; two grandsons, Michael Rothrock (Ann Marie) of Pacolet; and Justin Rothrock of Spartanburg; and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Hayden, and Bryson Rothrock, all of Pacolet. Mr. Rothrock was predeceased by one sister and five brothers. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Donald O'Dell.
