David Owens

David Eugene Owens, 59, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Born February 20, 1955 in Spindale, NC, he was the son of Lillie Winifred Coffey Owens, of Spartanburg, and the late Crawford Eugene Owens. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Patti) Frawley Owens and was retired from Michelin Tire Company after 30 years. Survivors include a son, Joel Owens (Kimberly Haas), and a daughter, Rachel Owens Marcengill, and her husband, Timothy, both of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by his sister, Brenda Goode. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, December 29, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 397 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd., Forest City, NC 28043, conducted by the Rev. Bob Philbeck and the Rev. Bruce Jones. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home.
